Spice Hunter Boldest Spiced is based on column distilled aged rum from the Medine Distillery in Mauritius infused with 13 spices blended in London by Berry's Bros & Rudd: allspice, caraway, cardamom, chilli, cinnamon, clove, cubeb, elemi, ginger, nutmeg, pepper, pimento and vanilla.
The equally bold label features a man rowing a boat towards a tropical shore, apparently inspired by Pierre Poivre, a French 18th-century horticulturist and botanist turned "Spice Hunter" who introduced clove and nutmeg to Mauritius and Reunion.

Clear, mid-deep golden amber.
Inviting freshly baked fruit cake and ginger cake with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and butterscotch.
Clove, cinnamon, ginger and peppery pimento heat with vanilla, tobacco, cacao and zesty orange.
Long and spicy (warming but not hot) ginger and cinnamon with buttery vanilla.
A proper spiced rum (at a strength above 37.5%), Spice Hunter has attractive fruit cake and ginger cake notes with a complex spice blend that warm rather than being fiery.
