‘Tapatio’ is a Mexican word referring to a man from Jalisco, the original tequila-producing Mexican state. This 100% agave reposado tequila is made using traditional masonry ovens, double distillation in copper pot stills and is aged in ex-American whiskey casks for approximately four months.

Sampled before 1st May 2011

Appearance:

Clear, pale gold.

Aroma:

A nose with hints of green olive brine with spicy green bell pepper, dried grass aromas.

Taste:

Deliciously spicy palate with chargrilled vegetables, particularly peppers sprinkled with sea salt, samphire and garnished with very subtle clarified cherry tomato juice.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla and caramel notes emerge towards the finish which turns peppery.
