Launched in 1977, as a stable mate for Sheep Dip vatted malt, Pig's Nose is a blend of Invergordon grain whisky with Speyside, Lowland and Islay malts - all aged for at least five years. Like Sheep Dip, Pig's nose is blended by Whyte & Mackay's Master Blender, Richard Paterson.
"It is said that our Scotch is as soft and as smooth as a pig's nose." Not something we've seen any other whisky or even spirit claim.

Clear, deep golden amber.
Tack room leathery nose with pungent maltyness and faint salt and seaweed beach aromas.
Sherry sweet, well-rounded palate with pronounced maltyness but apparently lacks the depth and polish access to the right inventory provides. Perhaps the blender did make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Sultana noes emerge in the lightly peated, slightly smoky, leathery finish.
