    A Dortmunder style lager brewed from 100% by Sapporo. First brewed in Tokyo in 1890, the city's neighbourhood of Ebisu is named after this beer which was originally produced there. (The Y is silent when pronounced.) The brand was forgotten until resurrected in 1971 as Sapporo's 'premium' beer. Read more

    Appearance

    Clear, mid coppery golden with thin but retentive white head.

    Aroma

    Malty nose with faint lemon zest and herbal aromas (slightly reminiscent of match box striking paper).

    Taste

    Pronounced maltiness the palate with creamy mouth feel and faint hop notes.

    Aftertaste

    Lingering breakfast tea-like with slightly bitter tannins and faint lemon zestyness.
