The result of a collaboration between Chapel Down’s Winemaker, Frazer Thompson and brewer Andy Hepworth, this unpasteurised English lager is brewed using East Anglian Pale malt with Saaz and Cascade hops, then re-fermented using champagne yeast before dry hopping with Nelson Sauvin hops.

Appearance:

(sample BBE Dec/16) Clear, coppery golden with thin white quickly diminishing head.

Aroma:

Grainy, baguette crust breadyness with faint rubber and cut grass.

Taste:

Sweet crusty bread with grassy, lightly bitter resinous hops and tart grapefruit zest.

Aftertaste:

Baguette crust, grass cuttings and grapefruit zest hops.

Overall:

A characterful lager with baguette crust breadiness, grassy and grapefruit zest.
