Recioto is strongly flavoured, sweet red wine made from dried grapes in Italy’s Veneto region. Drying the grapes removes water so concentrating natural sugars. This grappa is made from the pomace of recioto grapes using a copper alembic still produce a distillate of 75% alcohol.

Distilled water is then added to reduce the distillate to 43% bottling strength. The grappa is then refrigerated to -10°C for about 48 hours and then filtered prior to bottling.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Vegetal grapey notes with spearmint, brown bread and delicate cinnamon spice.

Taste:

Grapey and oily with subtle white pepper spice. Perfectly balanced.

Aftertaste:

Delicate spice cuts through an oily finish.
