Review and Tasting

Sampled on 24/03/2014

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Creamy fresh peach, barley sugar, overripe banana, linseed oil, leather, toasted oak and dried apple. Water reveals custard cream biscuit aromas.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, white and black pepper, baked apple and pear, cinnamon and nutmeg spice. A dash of water softens but adds little and upsets this whisky’s balance.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla, cooked orchard fruit, mild toasty oak and subtle spice.
