Relaunched in summer 2010 with a new smoked glass replacing the old emerald green bottle and a jump in strength to 46.3%. Since the change Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old has been bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring.

Bunnahabhain’s label still features a seafaring Scot, ‘The helmsman’, wearing a tartan bonnet searching for home.

Appearance:

Clear, deep mahogany.

Aroma:

Sherry/red wine notes, caramel, oak, toffee apple and sticky toffee pudding. Even more rich sherry and salt with water.

Taste:

Caramel and toffee with sherry, molasses, roast chestnuts and brine. Takes water well, highlighting rich sherry and saltiness.

Aftertaste:

Toffee fudge, dried fruit and fruit cake with sea saltiness and Christmas spice.
