To quote the back label, “An unusual light golden ale that crosses the boundaries of beer/wine/cider in taste. The lightest of malts combined with the scarce Nelson Sauvin hop and a process that includes a piggyback fermentation deliver an ale with low bitterness and complex fruit character.”
Sampled on 14/12/2014
(sample BBE Aug/17) Clear, coppery golden amber with moderately retentive thin white head.
Caramel and toasty malt with some apple juice, citrus and floral notes.
Sweet caramel malt balanced by moderately bitter grassy hops. Pleasant nutty notes.
Lingering rooty bitterness with caramel.
