Clear, pale golden with fast moving streams of rising small bubbles.

Aroma:

Toasty and buttery with lemon zest, meringue, pastry and yeast.

Taste:

Fresh and citrusy with cleansing acidity, buttery pastry – croissants and underlying minerality.

Aftertaste:

Lemony finish with minerality and cleansing acidity.

Overall:

Fresh and citrusy in character, Freixenet Cordon Negro is a good value, recognisable, widely available sparkling wine brand.
