Billed as being the first “aged red spiced rum spirit drink” (not strictly speaking a rum), Carta Fuego is aged for a minimum of a year in charred oak barrels, then blended and filtered through charcoal, before being mixed with natural flavours and spices.

It is designed to be served neat, with cola or as a shot with a few dashes of hot pepper sauce.

Taste:

Lightly sweet, caramel, butterscotch and honey with warming black pepper, cinnamon, smoked paprika and nutmeg spice.

Fuego, means fire in Spanish. Carta Fuego is spicy rather than fiery with light honey sweetness, caramel and vanilla mellowing cinnamon, nutmeg and cracked black pepper. Consider adding hot pepper sauce if you want fire.
