Review and Tasting

Sampled on 29/10/2012

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Subdued nose compared to some other sambucas. Clean anise, liquorice and fennel with black peppery alcohol.

Taste:

Very sweet with clean, rich aniseed, strong liquorice and hints of Parma Violets.

Aftertaste:

Aggressive peppery alcohol burn. This sambuca is clean and straight forward with strong, sweet aniseed, perhaps lacking subtle complexity.
