Gin Mare Mediterranean Inspirations Competition

The Gin Mare Mediterranean Inspirations competition is back, with a fantastic experiential prize for the global finalists in Ibiza, Spain.

About the competition

Competitors will be asked to create three cocktails which represent your vision of the Mediterranean:
1. Mediterranean Gin & Tonic
2. Mare Nostrum Cocktail. Here, the judges will be looking for evidence of the "Mare Nostrum" values of Lifestyle, Gastronomy, Climate and the sensation of Escape
3. Gastrobartender Drink, inspired around the artichoke.

The Prize

All the global finalists will be invited to the Gin Mare Villa in Ibiza where you have the chance to meet industry colleagues from around the world.

Finalists will have the opportunity to participate in different workshops & challenges such as:
- Sous vide challenge collaborating with a chef in creating a dessert
- A Foodpairing workshop
- Aroma stage by a luxury master perfumer
- Slow food experience with a local chef
- Dinner at Heart Ibiza by Albert Adriá & Cirque du Soleil
- Exploration of salt in cocktails

Each workshop or stage will have a related prize within the experience.
The overall winner will receive a course in a top gastronomic school.

How to Enter

To enter Gin Mare Mediterranean Inspirations head over to the competition website

If you qualify for the national finals you will be chosen to present your Gastrobartender drink, as well as your Mediterranean Gin & Tonic or your
Mare Nostrum Cocktail. If you reach the global final there will be one last challenge...to prepare the perfect companion drink for your Gastrobartender drink. You will work with a local chef from your area chosen from Foodpairing.com as a partner to work closely with you in preparing your suggestion.
