UKBG Bramble Competition

In partnership with Plymouth Gin and Pernod Ricard, United Kingdom Bartenders Guild (UKBG) have launched their Bramble Competition and are in search of London's best rendition of Dick Bradsell's famed cocktail.

The competition

Bartenders in London are challenged to create a twist on the Bramble cocktail to be in with a chance of winning one of eight places on a VIP trip to the Plymouth distillery. The deadline for entries is 28th October 2019. Find out how to enter below.

Eight selected finalists will be invited to join their peers on an exciting VIP trip to the Plymouth distillery for an educational tour and masterclass prior to the final.

Following the trip, the final will be held on the 25th November 2019 at Genuine Liquorette, London. Finalists will be required to showcase their Classic Bramble alongside their twist of the Bramble cocktail.

Each competitor will be scored against the following criteria: Name, aroma, taste, knowledge, appearance, presentation, story telling, technical execution and relevance to the brief.

The rules

Due to high demand, this competition is now open to all UK-based bartenders but please note that the selected finalists will not be reimbursed any expenses for travel to/from London or accommodation that they may require in order to participate in the competition or claim any prizes.

   
• Your recipe must include at least 40ml Plymouth Gin. Courtesy of Pernod Ricard, Plymouth Gin will be supplied on the day of the final.
   
• Entrants must be a member of the UKBG. Membership is free and bartenders can sign up here.

How to enter

Simply, complete the entry form and return to Salvatore Damiano before 28th October 2019. Don't forget to include in the subject line: UKBG Bramble Competition 2019.
