So I was gifted a bottle of Midori and was immediately turned off by the sweet, cloying aroma. But hey, free liqueur is never bad liqueur and I came to this site to find something to make with the stuff. This version of the Japanese Slipper is what I tried and it was good!
I worried about it being too sweet with both Triple Sec and Midori, but the lemon juice soured it up nicely and despite not thinking much of it at first, the glass emptied before I realized it.
Simple, but tasty. I'll be making this a few more times to deplete that bottle! The only problem is...I might grow fond of it and decide to keep one on my shelf!
