I felt like the amaro did not shine though as much under the original spec so I first tried it using reverse Manhattan specs and felt like it was unbalanced...
Very enjoyable for those of us who favor Averna subbing for vermouth in a Manhattan. I now have evidence that going part of the way to perfect won't spoil the magic. I'd also consider a second "perfect" mix, this one in Amari -- Averno and Nonino.
