Cointreau is smoooooth and loaded with orange. But you can almost taste the sugar crystals forming on your tongue. It is still the standard and for good reason. The Tropical Dry on the other hand still packs that orange punch but there is something else there that just makes it more intriguing. It is also a whole level of less sweet and has a bite and kick from being Rum based rather than Brandy - Need both rather than a substitute.
