I use a Balancier (or as I call it a Tick Tock), filled with small ice cubes, and therefore use two small sugar cubes. For simplicity 2 shots Absinthe and three shots water (poured and serve with a large ice cube.
Perfect Louche and just the right level for me as I like it more absinthe forward.

Used Tapatio 110 proof (55% ABV) Blanco Tequila and Jade Esprit Edouard Verte (72% ABV) which is an amazing Absinthe but the Tequila still shone through - tried it twice - lemon and Lime - and for me the Lime was the winner.
The Corpse is a great drink but this is the better but maybe not as many on a night!

Have previously tried this with Fernet del Frate Angelico and was very impressed.
This time I used Asperley Bros Britannica Fernet ( cacao & deep liquorice flavours) and this is now one of my 5*+ repeat drinks.
If you didn't like cough medicine as a child then not may be not for you though!

I rather like this martini and generally use the books quantities
6 shots Old Tom
2 shots Chopin Potato Vodka
1 shot Tempus Fugit Kina Aero d'Or
1 shot water
All into a glass bottle and placed in the freezer for 24 hours.
I find it makes two good serves bottle shaken with the water allowing for dilution.
