This subtly mandarin orange-influenced Sweet Manhattan is made drier and all the more complex, not by dashes of bitters, but by a slug of Italian amaro
Variant that reestablishes the 2:1 ratio: 1oz each of rye & cognac, 1/2 oz each Mandarine Napoleon & Cocchi, splash of Averna. Garnish with the cherry and an orange peel.
