Just got hold of some laird’s 86 - yet to see any BiB on offer here. To me a very different beast to Avallen: the charred American osking is distinctive and a major part of the flavour profile, and sweeter, more cooked apple quality, as opposed to Avallen notably dry and crisp. What are your thoughts Simon? Including re the different laird’s offerings?

I like using the two extremes, Calvados and Laird's BiB applejack. Both are bar staples for me, at least when I'm able to but BiB in the UK as supplies have been intermittent over the years.

Interesting. Yes I haven’t seen it at all in Australia, even online and was pleasantly surprised to come across some 86 today so snapped it up to see what it was about.
