Biscotti di Natale was inspired by a trip I took to Italy over the Christmas season, where every café seemed to offer some variation of almond cookies...
Definitely can see the inspiration, though I think it can also be something enjoyed all year round. Beautiful bright almond, citrus and cherry fruitiness, both through the cherry liqueur (I didn't have Heering unfortunately) and some cherry notes through the Bourbon (Difford's Guide recommendation Maker's Mark here).
