No sugar & low-calorie (no & low) cocktails
Frustratingly alcohol is calorific with your average spirit coming in at approx. 65 calories per 30ml (1oz). Start adding sweet liqueurs and sugar syrups...

These are great suggestions, but they rely on using a sugar-free syrup, which doesn't always lend itself to the traditional style of the cocktail. There are new brands of liqueurs available like Dapper Barons that have a near sugar-free profile, which might fit more smoothly into these recipes. By using an actual liqueur, you can capture the balance of the traditional cocktails.

Worth noting that a “liqueur” must have a minimum sugar content of 100 grams per litre.
