It is a sweetie, but it's that style of drink. However, I agree the melon liqueur was too dominant so I've reduced to a still whopping 45ml (1.5oz).

Made it with 45ml of midori. Loved the flavours but its still very sweet. Is there a substitute melon liqueur with lower sugar content?

Not that I'm aware of. It would be easier is all products stated grams of sugar per litre on the label.
