Sasha's original recipe calls for 1/2 oz apple cider (not juice) and 1/2 oz simple syrup (classic 1:1).

Many thanks, Georgette. I've added the original recipe from Regarding Cocktails above. We Brits can be confused by the US use of cider and hard cider. I corrected the recipe (allowing for the use of richer 2:1 syrup).
