Fennel Martini
Sweeter than a normal Martini (more like a "medium" than a dry Martini) with the great presence of anise-flavoured fennel liquor

Using 60 proof finocchietto. I enjoy the straight-forward sweet and desert-like fennel taste of this drink. Maybe could use some additional aromas to increase it's dept slightly. I think expressing orange oils might combine well with the fennel. I only had an islay gin (not quite dry enough for this drink). Definitely needs punchier dry gin to offset the sweet finocchietto liqueur. Tasty and sweet martini.

The fennel liqueur I was using was 100 proof which made this a pretty boozy number…. Nice though, and the vermouth almost held its own
