What the Licensed Trade Charity does

The Licensed Trade Charity was founded in the UK over 200 years ago and is dedicated to supporting people in the licensed drinks trade. Whether working in pubs, bars, breweries, wineries or distilleries the charity has been providing free of charge support to those who are currently working, or who have previously worked in the licensed drinks industry.

The 24/7 helpline (0808 801 0550) is always open and is supported by help sheets and practical guidance available on the Licensed Trade Charity website and new app, providing a variety of emotional, practical and financial support.

We are passionate about helping people in the trade in a proactive way – supporting individuals through their challenges before they reach crisis point and equipping them to be self-reliant. We develop and adapt the support we offer to ensure that the best possible services are available to suit all the needs of those in the industry.

We are proud to have helped 46,000 people and award £1.7m in grants and services throughout 2021. The Licensed Trade Charity continues to raise awareness of the support available.
