The creator says:"The drink is named after my grandfather. Whilst overseas he acted as a double agent for both sides of the Soviet Union. When he came to Australia he could barely speak English and lived off of the food he grew. He made a homemade spirit that he would add spices to and would make shrubs to use for cooking.
I'm taking this concept and creating a cocktail based on the ingredients he had available."
