Longrow was one of thirty distilleries that once operated in Campbeltown, the once ‘distilling capital’ of Scotland and still a recognised Scottish malt whisky region occupying the narrow Kintyre peninsula with the island of Islay not far off shore.

Today just three distilleries remain in Campbeltown, Glen Scotia, Glengyle and Springbank (the last two both owned by J&A Mitchell & Co Ltd). Longrow Distillery stood adjacent to Springbank and the car park at Springbank occupies the site where Longrow once stood, so it is fitting that Springbank have resurrected and now produce the Longrow brand.
