Ardmore, Gaelic for 'big headland' is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland, boasting eight copper pot stills each with a capacity of 15,000 litres (4 wash stills and 4 spirit stills). The distillery sits at the edge of the Grampian mountains and was built in 1898 by Adam Teacher, the son of William Teacher.
