Whilst I am a HUGE fan of filthy/dry/vodka martinis and lately gibsons, sometimes, I fancy something a tad sweeter and less like rocket fuel ...and this fits the bill perfectly plus it´s a doddle to make. Thank you Mr Difford.
It´s odd as the first one I ever tried in Madrid recently didn´t really strike me ( although it did blow my head off ! ) but after subsequent mixings using your recipe I have become a firm fan. It´s easy to make, intense but sublime....and strong ! thank you for the recipe Mr Difford.
I actually made this as I initially fancied a Negroni but had run out of Sweet Vermouth ( sacrilege I know ! ) ....and loved it. Fresher and a tad lighter than the traditional Negroni. Another one to add to my pre-dinner list. Thank you for this Mr Difford !
