Artisans of Taste by Diplomático

The Diplomatico Artisans of Taste Competition 2025 is open for entries!

This is your chance to showcase your creativity, craftsmanship, and love of flavour by creating a cocktail that celebrates the art of taste - with Diplomático Rum and cacao at its heart.

You could win a trip to Brazil!

UK bartenders are invited to create a unique, balanced, and flavourful cocktail featuring Diplomático Rum and cocoa as the star pairing.

Your cocktail should tell a story - one that captures the richness of Diplomático Rum's heritage and the indulgent depth of cacao.

Entry Criteria

• Your recipe must include one of the following Diplomático rums:
  Reserva Exclusiva, Planas, Mantuano, or Selección de Familia.
• The use of both Diplomático Rum and cocoa is mandatory.
• A maximum of 50ml of spirit (40% ABV or above) may be used.
• Garnishes must be edible and/or food safe.
• You may use up to 5 additional ingredients beyond the Diplomático Rum.
• Homemade ingredients are allowed.

The Prizes

The winner of the UK final wins a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Brazil, exploring the origins of cacao and rum craftsmanship.

The UK Final will be held at Ford's Bar, Thames Distillery, where finalists will enjoy an exclusive distillery tour and a themed "Artisans of the Equator" experience. Every finalist will go home with a prize, new friends in the industry, and a place in the Artisans of Taste network - a community that celebrates creativity and collaboration.
