"Pitch In" is a community of bartenders across Hanoi coming together to connect and to further the awareness of sustainability in the cocktail community through discussion, meetings and lectures from experts.
I am Kim Uyen - the Bar Manager at Ne Cocktail Bar Hanoi in Vietnam. Representing Vietnam, I would like to share with the world about my project with my friends at Ne, I have launched a project called: 'Pitch In' is a community of bartenders across Hanoi.
For the Sustainable Journey Project, we created a community called Pitch In - BartenderHN where bartenders all around Hanoi come together to connect and to further the awareness of sustainability in the cocktail community. We meet together regularly for discussion and lectures from experts in different areas of sustainability. We also interact online in order to raise exposure for our project.
We meet to have lively discussions and listen to useful lectures from experts in various fields.
We aim to strengthen community relationships, practice green and responsible business ethics.
We research and share our love for local spices and ingredients.
To celebrate this project, I have created the 'Pitch In' cocktail, a flavor that represents the local community and our shared love for our homeland.
A modern spirit, with a touch of Dutch flavor. With its distinctive flavor and smooth citrus notes, Ketel One Vodka pairs perfectly with my local ingredients. I bring you a cocktail based on the dirty martini version, refreshing from mac mat pickle (Clausena indica) and culantro cordial , perfectly balanced with homemade aromatic wine from ingredients from the 4 seasons of northern Vietnam. Bringing a Pitch In full of energy, creative inspiration and a strong spirit of connection.
