The brainchild of husband and wife, Derek and Kerry Campbell, 8 Doors Distillery is Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery and was officially opened by His Majesty King Charles on Wednesday 2nd August 2023 during an official visit to John O'Groats. The whisky distillery is equipped with one pair of copper pot stills and has a visitor centre which boasts views across the Pentland Firth.
