North British is a grain whisky distillery established in 1885 by Andrew Usher, William Sanderson and John M. Crabbie on the western outskirts of Edinburgh, site that today lies diagonally between Murrayfield Stadium and Midlothian Football Club’s Tynecastle Park. Edinburgh’s last working distillery, North British operates as a 50/50 joint venture between Diageo Plc and the Edrington Group. North British mainly distils maize.
