Review

Quo Vadis is a Latin phrase meaning 'where are you going?' My answer is often to this fabulous first floor member's bar. Since it opened in August 2008, 'Quos' has become one of my bars of choice.

Midway through the 1800s Karl Marx lived in a dingy attic apartment here, but it was Italian immigrant, Peppino Leoni who first established the Quo Vardis name when he opened his seven table restaurant in 1926. He slowly bought up surrounding property until the restaurant eventually comprised four Soho townhouses. Now all knocked together, these Grade II-listed buildings are owned by brothers Sam and Eddie Hart who operate their modern British bar and restaurant on the ground floor and this member's bar above.
