Review

Evidence of this bar's previous incarnation as a Quiznos Sub sandwich shop is still visible (the polystyrene tiled ceiling) but otherwise a valiant effort to create a moody, darkly lit environment. The bar itself is the focal point of the room, with a stylish shattered glass effect bar-top that includes a refrigerator for the fruits and vegetables used in the drinks. Funky tunes provide a soundtrack to classic movies displayed on a flat-screen TV - anything from Gone with the Wind to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The menu includes a 'New Orleans Classics' section that includes the Sazerac, Ramos Gin Fizz, French 75 and Hurricane, as well as some more adventurous signature creations. All are well executed.

Be sure to have the popcorn with truffle oil and jalapeño spice.
