Style: Tapas bar

Sherry tends to go through a marketing-driven revamp every year or so, in a bid to help shed its image among British drinkers of being something only your great aunt wants to drink. Capote Y Toros (it translates as 'Cape and Bull') is about as great an advert for the category as is possible to get: five pages of sherries, each giving a range of producers among each style: from dry fino to salty manzanilla, nutty oloroso and almontillado, palo cortado and pedro ximenez. Plenty of Spanish 'conventional' wines too. Authentic tapas soak up the sherry - no ham croquettes here, thank you, think good quality, seafood-driven deliciousness and acorn-fed ham.

This long, thin space, gets packed easily, not that you mind - you're sitting amid a busy, buzzy space, adorned with bull-fighting paraphernalia, with Jiberico hams hanging above you, Spanish staff bustling around and serving lots of Spanish ex-pats. Not open Sunday or Monday.
