Occupying a corner site just five minutes from San Marco, this tiny bar has little more than a meter wide corridor on both corners to stand in with shutters thrown open to the street. It is one of the few Bacaro in Venice to open late - 1am most nights and 2am on Saturdays.
Drinkers spill out onto the street and the sound of their voices will help you locate Bacaro Risorto after midnight when all around it has long closed. This is a constant irritation to local residents and its common for the police to turn up to ensure decorum is kept. They have a quiet word with the manager while his colleagues keep serving drinks. It's far from a raid but apparently reoccurs a couple of times a week during the season.
The drinks selection stretched to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on draught along with the predictable spritz and local wines.
