Level 33

A microbrewery on the thirty-third floor? Truly, only in Singapore. At Level 33, brewing runs throughout the day, which means as you emerge from the bar's dedicated lift you're hit by yeasty, malty wafts of mash, and an array of gleaming copper vats.

There is a lot to like about this slick space, which is not just a microbrewery but a lounge bar and restaurant -- not least its breezy wraparound terrace with stunning views. Local office workers seem to appreciate their well-priced and tasty buffet lunches.

Level 33's brewers craft four staple beers, a stout, a porter, a lager and an ale, as well as one seasonally changing brew. We enjoyed their flight of all four.

If beer is not your thing, there are short but well-honed wine and cocktail lists and plenty of non-alcoholic options too.
