Review

What was once a purely functional bar for the adjacent hostel, Translate has been turned into a chilled Shoreditch cocktail bar. The look is basic with a wooden bar and tables, exposed brick and the cocktail menu displayed on a blackboard.

Located at the southern end of Kingsland Rd the bar attracts a relaxed crowd keen to settle down and sip some drinks. The menu has some innovative drinks including a Michelle's Milk (Golden rum, cinnamon, strawberry and chocolate milk, with whipped cream & a cherry on top) and a Hung Like a Don (Don Julio Blanco, lime, coconut, pineapple and bitters).

Overall a friendly place with a great ambiance and some decent drinks.
