Wyld

Wyld is the late-night VIP bar of the W London hotel. The whole hotel is decked out in hundreds of disco balls, with the biggest in the ceiling of Wyld, some six feet in diameter - part of a bling-and-black-leather interior and club-like atmosphere.

Huge windows overlook Leicester Square, making it a great spot from which to watch red carpet film premieres - Wyld sometimes holds after-parties for the premieres themselves. Opposite the window is the bar, with an enormous back-bar and a ladder for the bartenders to reach the tequila collection - unusually for such a bar in such a location this is a specialist tequila bar.

W has outsourced the bar to Ignite Group, which runs the Boujis, Eclipse and Bumpkin group of bars, restaurants and clubs, and means that the 10 tequila cocktails and 10 classics are made with aplomb - definitely better than any other W hotel bar we've experienced.

Unless you're a hotel guest you'll need to be on a list, so call ahead (there's a £500 minimum spend if you want a table). Enter via Wardour Street, take the lift to the first floor, go through the lounge. Wyld is on the left.
