This pub's dyslexic moniker refers to its excellent range of beers, both 'draught' and bottled.
Formally a very ordinary boozer, this outpost of the three-strong 'Draft House' chain sits on the south side of Tower Bridge so along with locals and workers from the Mayor's gaff opposite, attracts plenty of thirsty tourists.
The old corner boozer has had a contemporary diner-style makeover with a fresh coat of light gloss paint and bright lime green leather banquet seating replacing the former smoke-stained drab interior.
Enough about the location and the decor, it's the beer here that really shines. The draught selection includes locally brewed ales from Meantime as well as casks shipped in from as far afield as San Francisco. Bottled brews come from just about everywhere and the staff strive to serve your choice in its appropriate glass. Non beer drinkers (strange folk) have a choice of ten wines by the glass and a good range of whiskies. Food tends towards huge servings of comfort food as pub grub should be.
The downstairs Tasting Room holds 100 and can be hired for private events and is illuminated by reclaimed 1920s copper windows.
