Distilled from sugar cane juice harvested in 1998, aged for 12 years in recharged ex-bourbon, ex-cognac and ex-Scotch casks, St Bath Hors d'âge rum was bottled unfiltered in March 2011. Sealed with black wax covered cork stopper this is a limited edition of only 2,000 numbered bottles.

Appearance:

(bottle N0. 0174) Clear, chestnut brown amber with burnished copper highlights.

Aroma:

Dried apricot nose with pronounced nubuck leather and touch of apricot jam.

Taste:

Dry yet richly fruity palate with more dried apricot, brazil nuts, toasted almond and orange marmalade, Christmas pudding fruit, nutmeg and warm cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

The long finish kicks off with oaky slightly barbeque smoke tannins and fades with Christmas cake fruit and gentle nutmeg and cinnamon spice.
