Bottled in 2010 and released in October 2011. this is the tenth of a series of special Lagavulin 12-year-old releases. Vatted from refill American oak casks, each at least 12-years-old and bottled at natural cask strength.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, pale gold.

Aroma:

Barbeque, applewood smoked cheddar and coal tar with aromas of chipotle, smoked paprika and sweet roasted tomato.

Taste:

Vegetal, coal tar palate with wafts of smoke.

Aftertaste:

Burnt toast charcoal led savoury finish with delicate smoke and spiced chorizo.
