This innovative Matcha Liqueur, launched in 2025, was developed and is made by Maison Gabriel Boudier in Dijon, France. Matcha powder is infused in a hydroalcoholic base to extract the tea's rich aromatics and then just enough sugar is added to balance and enhance the matcha.

As the bottle's back label says, "This product contains natural ingredients which may settle."

Appearance:

Hazy, olive green. (Layer of sediment at bottom of bottle.)

Aroma:

Delicately herbal and vegetal matcha tea.

Taste:

Dry, matcha-flavoured and delicately grassy with a faint white pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Match tea and faint white pepper spice.

Overall:

Dried by matcha bitterness, this must have at least 10% sugar to be a liqueur, but it is far from sweet. This adds to the authentic matcha taste.
