Modelo Especial is Grupo Modelo, the Mexican brewer’s second most popular beer and the third most popular imported beer brand in the United States. It is the first beer produced by Grupo Modelo in 1925, the year in which the company was formed.

I worry about any beer packaged in a clear bottle as ultraviolet light is as detrimental to a beers performance as beer is to man’s.

Appearance:

Golden straw with slight off white head.

Aroma:

Strong corn grain nose with faint hop and pale malt aromas.

Taste:

Light-medium bodied palate with grainy corn flavours. A light touch of malt and hops.

Aftertaste:

Refreshing and inoffensive but not a beer to raise excitement.
