Aged 6 years, this straight rye is made more distinctive by its bottle, the design of which was inspired by pre-Civil War times when bars purchased whiskey by the barrel barrels which they'd decant into ornate engraved decanters supplied by the distiller.
Today the Sazerac brand name may be silkscreen printed but this long, thin necked bottle with its fluted shoulder and octagonal fluted base still looks fit to be slid down the counter of a saloon's bar.
