Established in 1836 by Edmond Briottet and located in Dijon, France, Briottet’s lychee liqueur uses fruit from Litchi chinensis, a species of tropical tree native to China.
Sampled on 09/07/2012
Crystal clear.
Parma violet, old lady’s talcum powder, sherbet and fresh red fruits, but no evident lychee.
Tinned lychee sweetness balanced by citric acidity, with hints of stewed red berry, green melon and grape soda.
Strong, authentic (fresh) lychee flavours emerge in the finish, with lingering citric acidity and perfume.
