Produced for the Wemyss family, whisky merchants whose historic family seat is Wemyss Castle, Scotland. Back in 1565, Mary Queen of Scots first caught sight of her future husband, Lord Darnley through the courtyard window of the Wemyss Castle. This gin is named in recognition of the event.
Darnley’s View is flavoured with six botanicals, Juniper, elderflower, Spanish lemon peel, angelica root, Moroccan coriander seed and orris root. These botanicals are distilled under contact to the Wemyss family in a tiny copper pot still at Thames Distillery, Clapham. London.

Crystal clear.
Juniper led nose has warm white pepper with strong coriander and sage aromas with good lemon notes.
Initially classic London gin palate. As the citrus falls away so the elderflower emerges followed by warm ginger. Creamy mouth feel throughout.
Round smooth and warm finish. Surprising delicate and lacking that forceful pepper found of the nose.
