The name references this vodka being made at the site of a former cannon foundry in Åkers Styckebruk, southwest of Stockholm. Kanon is made from organically grown wheat sourced from four farmers local to the distillery and the vodka's eco credentials extend to its bottle being 60% recycled glass.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Mineraly, wet flint with a slight whiff reminiscent of crispy seaweed, olives and eucalyptus – in fact not unlike a very slightly ‘dirtied’ Martini.

Taste:

Clean, smooth mouth feel with a touch of oilyness, brazil nuts and mild black pepper character and the merest hint of fennel.

Aftertaste:

A flavour reminiscent of jacket potato skins with faint aniseed emerges in the peppery finish.
